Dr. W. Brian James is Manager of International Technical Service for Sales and Marketing for US based Hoeganaes Corporation. A PhD and chartered engineer, he is a fellow of AMPI International, fellow of the institute of materials, minerals and mining, and a fellow of ASTM international. He is also very active in the field of standardisation in connection with ASTM International, MPIF, and ISO standards related to powder metallurgy. He is the recipient of numerous other honours from, among others, the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF)

Dr Satya Banerjee received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Metallurgical Engineering specialising in Powder Metallurgy from IIT, Kharagpur, in India. He was a faculty member at IIT, Kharagpur and a visiting Fellow at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. Satya Banerjee has more than 20 years of US industrial experience, more than 15 of which has been developing materials, processes and products, as well as setting up laboratory and production equipment in the MIM industry. He is widely published and holds one US patent.

His responsibilities with Makin include sales, customer service, technical and management systems as well as research and development. A qualified Eur-Ing and Chartered Engineer, he studied at Bath and Cardiff Universities in the UK and has an honours degree in metallurgy and materials science.
